We are currently working with a leading provider of external lighting solutions who are at the forefront of their industry working within Rail, Airports, Sports and Ports.

Job responsibilities:
- To prepare electrical specifications, materials lists, wiring diagrams and data sheets to the regulations and standards appropriate to the site conditions, location and equipment.
- Provide technical assistance in the preparation of procedures, quotations, tenders and installation work involving electrical equipment.
- Ensure drawings of electrical installations and equipment are prepared and updated as necessary to the appropriate standards.
- Assist in compilation in O & M manual.
- Overseeing of projects through to commissioning – within budget and required timescales.
- Liase with customers, visit sites to discuss and agree specifications and performance requirements. Visits to site may entail fault diagnosis, recommending and implementing corrective measures.
- Design electrical control panels and boards for production in house.
- Produce written reports appropriate to site visits or equipment failures as required.
- Maintain job files in such a manner that they give an accurate status of work.
- Ensure that the requirements of the Quality management system are fully understood and complied with.
- Create Bills of Material for electrical work.
Experience Required:
- Experience of electrical engineering principles.
- Experience of electrical schematic and control panel design.
- Knowledge of using AutoCAD or similar 2D drawing package.
- Demonstrates the ability to optimise quality/cost/timing.
- Proficient using Autodesk AutoCAD or similar.
- HNC/HND/Degree or sufficient experience to demonstrate equivalent level of knowledge.
- Relevant experience – Variable Speed Drives, Motor Starter panels, Distribution systems and PLC systems.
